Instant Dhokla Recipe. Khaman Dhokla Recipe with Suji or Rawa. Quick and Easy Khaman Dhokla Recipe.

Take about 1 cup of suji or rawa or semolina in a large bowl.



In the same bowl add 1 cup of curd or plain yogurt.




Also add half glass of water to it.


Mix all the ingredients well.



Also add 2tsp of besan or gram flour.


Mix it well and add small piece of grated ginger.



Finely chop green chilies.


Add the same in your batter/mix.


Add quarter tsp of turmeric powder.


And salt as per taste.


And half tbsp of sugar.


Also add lemon juice of half lemon.



Now give a good mix to the ingredients.


Here comes the hero ingredients. Add 1 sachet of ENO(fruit salt).


You'll start seeing the fermentation with bubbles all around.


Mix all again and keep it aside for 20-25 minutes.


Now take a big pan and fill with little water in it and put it on a high flame.


And then take a small pan and grease it with a vegetable oil or butter. Remember this pan must be smaller than the pan which is on the flame filled with water because you need to insert this pan into that without actually dipping it. It's kind of steaming technique.You can also use a double boiler or a double boiler technique. Or you can also use your idli stand.


Pour your batter/mix into the greased pan.


Keep it aside.


Let the water boil which was kept on the flame.


Now take your pan with the batter/mix and place gently on the large pan with boiling water.


Just like the way shown below. Remember you can use your idli stand instead.


Cover it with a lid on a low flame for 25-30 minutes.


Meanwhile get ready with your tempering part. In a small pan with 2tsp of vegetable oil add half tsp each of mustard seeds and cumin seed with 2-3 dried red chilies.


Once the crackling starts add curry leaves and keep it aside.


After 25 minutes you can take out your pan.


Now the testing part. Insert your skewer or knife or fork in the center. 


If it comes out clean that's when it's perfect.


Cut it into square pieces.


And then add your tempering ingredients slowly all over the dhokla.




At the end garnish with finely fresh chopped coriander leaves.


Your lovely and delicious Khaman Dhokla is ready.
